Legacy serves as a resource to the conferences, churches, agencies, and employees of the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. We provide payroll and accounting services, administer CCMBC’s group benefits plan and pension plan, and offer lending and investment services. Our investors enable churches and pastors to have a presence in the communities they serve.
“God spoke very clearly to us about this move. God said, ‘I'm going to root you somewhere.’ And that was something we'd been longing for: to feel like we belong somewhere, that we could put down roots. Legacy made it possible for us to have a home, for the kids to know they're somewhere stable. We're here for as long as God wants us to be here, and we're so grateful.
It's not all about how much we can gain on our investment. To know that our money is being used to glorify God means so much more and it will matter for eternity
We have been exceedingly thankful for the support of CCMBC Legacy over the past year. They have assisted us with questions around payroll, assisted us with questions around setting our budget this year and I just really appreciate Jason and his team. When we call them up, they are always there to offer insight.
“Our church has been directly using the accounting services of the CCMBC Legacy Fund for several years now. They bring a depth of experience to book-keeping that we just don't have within our congregation. We rely on them to keep good order of our monthly expenses, pay all the scheduled and sporadic expenses and reimbursements that come in throughout the month and compile our monthly financial statements. Beyond that, they provide us with guidance when unusual giving or ministry questions come up. And of course they help us stay compliant with all the annual federal requirements for charitable organizations. The value we get from the services that Legacy provides us are more than worth the cost - it lets us focus more on the ministries within our church with confidence that an experienced team is helping us manage our financial details.”
The CCMBC staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help. Recently we have also engaged CCMBC to take care of our church payroll needs. CCMBC payroll service is professional and accurate. Taking this responsibility off of our office staff has been a great help.”
"As a small church, using CCMBC Accounting services has freed up our people to be engaged in other ministry areas. This has been invaluable for us. Along with that, having accounting professionals who are able to answer questions and work through various scenarios is a huge benefit. CCMBC Accounting staff has been easy to work with and extremely responsive to questions and requests. We are grateful to have this service available to us.”

Many people assume that if something unexpected happened, their spouse or adult children would automatically be able to make decisions for them. In reality, that is often not the case.
Questions around powers of attorney and living wills are some of the most misunderstood parts of estate and personal planning. People are often unsure what these documents actually do. When do they come into effect? Who should be chosen? What authority do they give? What can happen if they are missing or outdated?
In this practical 30-minute webinar, we’ll explore the important role powers of attorney and healthcare directives play in protecting both you and your family during illness, incapacity, emergencies, or later stages of life. It’s about making your wishes known, reducing stress for loved ones, and ensuring trusted people are able to help when needed most. Whether you are creating these documents for the first time or reviewing older plans, this session will help bring clarity and confidence to an area many people avoid simply because they don’t fully understand it.

You created your will when your children were young, your priorities were different, and life looked very different than it does today. But if your children are now adults and your estate plan hasn’t been revisited in years, it may be time to take another look.
Join us to explore why estate plans should evolve alongside your family. As children grow older, relationships shift, assets change, responsibilities expand, and new questions often emerge around executors, powers of attorney, inheritances, family communication, aging parents, blended families, and long-term planning goals.
This session will help you understand when an estate plan should be reviewed, common areas families overlook after children become adults, and how to approach planning conversations with grown children in healthy and productive ways. We’ll also discuss practical updates that may help reduce future confusion, protect family relationships, and ensure your current wishes are clearly reflected in your documents.

You want your giving to make a difference. But figuring out the smartest, simplest, and most effective way to give can sometimes feel surprisingly complicated. What is a donor-advised fund exactly? How does it work? Is it only for wealthy families? And why are more Canadians choosing this approach for charitable giving?
In this webinar, we’ll unpack everything you need to know about donor-advised funds (DAFs) in Canada —without the jargon or complexity.
We’ll explore how donor-advised funds work, the flexibility and tax advantages they can offer, and how they can help individuals, families, and business owners give more intentionally over time. Whether you’re supporting your church, favourite charities, community organizations, or causes you care deeply about, this session will help you understand how a foundation-style approach to giving can simplify generosity and create lasting impact.

No two families look exactly alike, and estate planning should reflect that. For many Canadians, family relationships are layered and beautifully complex. There may be second marriages, stepchildren, aging parents, adult children, grandchildren, shared properties, family businesses, caregiving responsibilities, or loved ones with unique financial or personal needs. But when estate plans don’t fully reflect those realities, misunderstandings, conflict, and unintended outcomes can happen far too easily.
This practical and compassionate webinar explores estate planning for today’s families including blended families, common law relationships, multi-generational households, caregiving situations, and other unique family dynamics that require additional care and clarity.
Whether your situation is simple or complex, this session will help you think more intentionally about the people you love and the legacy you hope to leave behind.
